The St. Catharines Cycling Club is proud to host the 2011 Niagara Classic Road Race, an OCup event.

This year the Niagara Classic will be the venue for the JUNIOR MEN CATEGORY PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP ROAD RACE. In addition, as the final O-Cup of the season there will be DOUBLE O-CUP POINTS awarded at the Niagara Classic.

Taking place in the picturesque and historic Town of Pelham, the course will be a challenging, winding and rolling 12.3 km course through the vineyards and orchards of Ontario's fruitland and has the traditional Start/Finish on top of Effingham Hill.

Volunteers

We are looking for club members to help with putting on this race. Volunteers are needed to help with various tasks including marshalling corners, registration, course setup and cleanup after the race. If you can help out, please fill out the volunteer signup form

Entry Fees

Preregistration only. Entry includes lunch. Online Registration (provided by OCA) closes at midnight on Thursday May 20, 2010. Categories with less than 20 entrants may be combined. There will be no refunds

Local St Catharines bicycle shop, Liberty Bicycles, will have a kiosk at the "top of the hill" with a mechanic on duty available to make those last minute adjustments on your bike. Liberty Bicycles will have some merchandise for sale in the kiosk, so be sure to stop by and check out the offering.

Total $5000 in prizes (based on 400 rider entries. Prize list will be posted at registration prior to event sign-in

Directions

From Toronto / Hamilton:

  • Take QEW towards Niagara
  • Exit at Victoria Ave. S.
  • Continue on Victoria Ave (Rd. 24) for approximately 15 kms.
  • Turn Left onto Rd. 20. Proceed for 6.5 kms.
  • Turn Left onto Effingham Street.
